A Natural Oasis in Manikonda's Countryside

Tucked away in the green belt of Manikonda on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the Reddypally Farmhouse is a weekend retreat surrounded by mature trees and open sky. The owner envisioned a pool that would feel like a natural body of water — not a rectangle of blue imposed on the landscape, but an organic feature that belonged there.

Challenge: Preserving Mature Trees and Natural Landscape

The property's greatest asset — its towering banyan and neem trees — was also the biggest construction constraint. Standard excavation would have severed major root systems, potentially killing trees that had taken decades to grow. The natural drainage of the sloped terrain also needed to remain intact to prevent waterlogging during Hyderabad's monsoon season.

Our Solution: Freeform Design Around Existing Flora

Dream Pools brought in a certified arborist before a single line was drawn. Together, we mapped every major root zone and designed the pool's freeform shape to flow between them, maintaining a protective buffer. Where the shell came within range of secondary roots, HDPE root-barrier panels were installed to guide growth away from the structure. The result is a pool that looks as though nature carved it.

Features That Celebrate the Setting

• Natural Tandur stone coping that matches the existing pathways and garden walls of the farmhouse.
• A cascading waterfall built from hand-selected river boulders, creating soothing ambient sound.
• Planting pockets integrated into the pool surround, allowing ferns and ornamental grasses to soften the edges.
• The pool is oriented to capture the western sunset, turning every evening swim into a golden-hour experience.
• All mechanical equipment is concealed behind the rock waterfall feature, keeping the natural aesthetic unbroken.

The Result

Completed in 8 weeks, the Reddypally Farmhouse pool is a showcase of what happens when construction respects its environment. Not a single mature tree was lost, and the pool's organic shape has become the centrepiece of a property that now feels like a private resort in the Manikonda countryside. The owner hosts weekend gatherings where guests consistently remark that the pool looks like it has always been part of the landscape.
