The Vision: An Infinity Pool Above the Madhapur Skyline

When the owner of a prestigious hilltop villa in Kakatiya Hills, Madhapur, approached Dream Pools, the brief was clear — create an infinity-edge swimming pool that captures the panoramic skyline of Hyderabad. The villa sits at one of the highest points in Madhapur, offering sweeping views of the IT corridor, and the pool needed to feel like it merged with the horizon.

Challenge: Complex Hilltop Terrain

Building on a hilltop in Hyderabad is no small feat. The site featured a steep gradient with rocky subsoil, making excavation difficult and structural stability a primary concern. Traditional pool construction methods were inadequate for the cantilevered infinity edge that the design demanded. Additionally, the elevation meant higher wind loads and unique drainage requirements that had to be factored into every calculation.

Our Solution: Custom Structural Engineering

Dream Pools assembled a specialist engineering team to tackle the terrain. We used post-tensioned reinforced concrete anchored directly into bedrock, creating an exceptionally rigid shell capable of supporting the cantilevered vanishing edge. A triple-layer HDPE waterproofing membrane was applied to the entire structure, and every joint was pressure-tested before tiling began. The balance tank was integrated beneath the deck to maintain water levels automatically.
