Smart Design for Urban Living in Peerzadiguda

Peerzadiguda, one of Hyderabad's rapidly growing eastern suburbs, is characterised by residential plots that prioritise built-up area. When Jagathswapna Infra approached Dream Pools to add a swimming pool to one of their residential projects, the challenge was immediately clear: how do you build a full-featured pool in a space that most builders would consider too small?

Challenge: Limited Space in an Urban Setting

The available outdoor area was irregular in shape, with municipal setback restrictions limiting construction on three sides. A standard rectangular pool would have yielded barely 8 metres of swim length — insufficient for lap swimming and underwhelming as a lifestyle feature. The client needed a pool that justified the investment without requiring structural changes to the home.

Our Solution: An Innovative L-Shaped Design

Dream Pools' design team developed an L-shaped pool layout that traces the property boundary, stretching the total swim path to 14 metres. The short arm of the L serves as a relaxation zone with built-in bench seating, while the long arm provides an uninterrupted lane for exercise swimming. Below-grade, compact equipment — including a Pentair variable-speed pump — was specified to eliminate the need for a separate plant room, preserving every square metre of deck space.

The Result

Delivered in 11 weeks, the Jagathswapna Infra pool demonstrates that great pool design is not about the size of the space — it is about the intelligence of the layout. The L-shaped configuration has become a talking point in Peerzadiguda, and Dream Pools has since received multiple enquiries from neighbouring homeowners inspired by what they have seen.
